All the cattle on a thousand hills

After our mild winter, spring is arriving here on the southern plains. Took a little drive this evening and passed this scene. Comments welcome.

I get a vague feeling the tree is past its prime!  I think you did the best you could with the elements here.  The fence seems to really separate the frame into two distinct parts.  My wishful thinking has the fence removed with the cattle milling about in the vicinity of the tree, but we have to take what is give to us.

Agree about the fence. As to the tree, that's storm damage from about a year ago. The tree is certainly past it's prime as a far as trees go but photographically it might be just reaching it's stride. Then again...
