3880 need help

my #2 ink slot in the display window shows no ink, but the ink report says there is ink there.  I can't find a way to get #2 to read the ink level like the other 9 levels.

any help is appreciated.

If by ink reoprt you mean on the computer, then it's probably just not updated (if the printer is saying there's a missing ink cartridges, when it may not be sending updates to the computer whilst it's in error mode).

Is it a new ink or an older one?  If older, it probably is out.  If it's new, maybe you just need to remove and reseat it or perhaps the cartridge is faulty?

I would call Epson. From what I have read on similar posts,  there is a chance they will replace the cartridge if they cannot solve the problem.

I'm betting you are looking at the display window on the printer
the #2 bar just shows dots.
The ink is there
You have matte black ink (MK) selected
If you go to print on glossy paper with Photo Black (PK) ink profile then the look of the two bars will reverse and the matt ink bar will be dots
