I'm Windows Vista x64, if that makes a difference.

Here's what I did.

1. Opened a TIFF file in CS5 directly from a DVD.

2. Edited it - just cropped it.

3. Chose Ctrl/S to save the edit. (no dialog opened. the edit just saved)

Now, if I open the file from the DVD in CS5, it opens with the crop.

However, if I right click on the file and choose Open with Photoshop, or, if I copy the file to the Desktop and open it from there, it opens un-cropped.

Is it possible to make Photoshop "forget" the edit so that when I choose File/Open and browse to the file on the DVD it opens un-cropped?

Thanks.

D.

Sorted. Just tried again and it opened fine. Copying the file to the desktop and opening it from there (when it opened OK) and the opening it again from the DVD seemed to sort the problem. Some sort of cache issue, perhaps?

typically just a rename will help with any future issues.
