looking for a generic profile for an epson 50
« on: March 02, 2012, 08:41:59 pm »

Without the device to profile my printer I'm wondering how to find a generic printer profile for an Epson 50 ?
Looked on the Epsom website and don't see it.
Have calibrated my monitor, but the prints come out very dark and bluish.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Here what I found on redrivercatalog.com concerning their paper profiles for your Artisan 50:

"Color Profiles for the Epson 1400, R380, R280, R260, All RX series, Artisan 50

NOTE: These profiles are labeled for the Epson 1400, but will work for all the printers mentioned above using Clariaâ„¢ inks. "

It would seem that until you have a profiling solution of your own, you might try any of the Epson profiles (from the Epson site, if available) for the printers mentioned above.  It seems pretty dicey, but maybe it's better than nada?
