latest RCX update bug on windows 7 (fixed)

Argh...

I just installed from the software update the latest RCX and it won't work on windows 7

Went to the Red forum and saw that other users experienced the same issue.

I downloaded the missing file: MSVCP100.dll, put it in the application folder,

nothing ! still doesn't work.

re-installed the application downloaded from the Red wesite: the same

Now instead of saying that the MSVCP100.dll is missing, it would say: 0xc000007b issue...

the old 32 bits version works but I don't want that.

Any idea ?

How come back to the older version?

Ok,

Found the grail.


1) download again from the Red website the pro version https://www.red.com/support/all/downloads/26/release_history/158/agreements/2
2) unzip, install the 64 bits
3) choose "repair"
4) it works again.

back on track.
