Acetate printing for separations on Epson 3880
« on: February 09, 2012, 12:02:30 pm »

Has anyone had any experience of printing on Acetate, or similar materials, using the Epson 3880 printer?  I have been asked if I can do this to create separations for use in Silk Screen Printing and copper etching.  Any information gratefully received!  Thanks.

Most of the films used for negatives or separations comes in rolls.
E.g. Epson Clear Film: "This media is for creating high-quality, film positives for various screen-printing applications. Optimized for Epson pigment-based inks."
But the Pictorico OHP Transparency Film comes in sheets:
"Excellent compatibility with Epson UltraChrome Photo Black K3 inks
-High UV density
-Thickness: 145 μm
-Recommended for film positives & negatives for screen/flexo printing and contact print"
