LR freezing o/night
« on: January 29, 2012, 07:25:26 pm »

Anyone else having this problem?

Ever since the .6 upgrade LR will become totally unresponsive (SBOD) if left for a period of time, usually overnight. Not processing or anything, just left open. Requires Force Quitting and relaunching.

LR 3.6 / OS 10.7.2

Why would you want to leave the computer on and the program active overnight?  Do other programs lock up as well if they are open overnight?  It may not necessarily be a LR problem but a computer problem (flaky power supply).

I've not experienced this issue at all (Mac OS X 10.7.2, Lightroom 3.6 or 4.0b). I would try to quit all every possible application and then run Lightroom overnight and see if LR freezes. Is there any suspect message in the console?

Why wouldn't you leave LR on? Just like you would Mail or Safari.

It is only LR that this happens to.
