Go down to Pikes Place Market on the waterfront for some intimate scenes.  There's always lots to photograph with the harbor, boats, ferries, and markets of fish and and other interesting items.  Here's a lighthouse at Alki Point, watch for opening times on the holidays.

You might also try Queen Anne Hill to get a cityscape with the Space Needle, building skyline, and maybe, if your lucky, Mt. Rainier in the background.

A little elaboration on previous posts:

In West Seattle, bear left from Harbor Avenue onto California Way up the hill to Hamiton Viewpoint Park.  This is probably the best view of Seattle from West Seattle, although there are others.  There will be a full moon rising on Dec 26 at 4:18PM.

In Queen Anne, the most popular view is from Kerry Park.  Head north on Queen Ann Ave up a steep hill and turn left on Highland Drive.  Many of the post card pictures you see are taken from this point.

The other options offered are great shots.  You should be able to keep yourself quite busy.

And, if you head to West Seattle (where Alki is located) you can capture some city skyline shots looking East across Puge Sound.  It is a wide photo to capture from the Space Needle to Safeco Field.  Drive along Harbor Ave. SW off the West Seattle Freeway/Bridge.

Discovery Park lighthouse is another great area along a very rugged beach.  It is a long hike over a fairly difficult trail, down to the beach.  This is in the Magnolia area of Seattle

If you want some wildlife photography, Juanita Bay Park Wetlands (not Juanita Beach) on the Eastside in Kirkland is full of water fowl who have made the wetlands home for the winter.  Many water fowl species have migrated South from Canada and are not seen here during spring and summer.  Lots of Bufflehead, Green-winged Teal, Mergansers, Heron, Eagles, Wood Ducks, and others.
