Camera to Print & Screen ~ a question with LR4 due very soon?
« on: January 20, 2012, 01:59:09 pm »

Just to ask???

I have still to watch enough of the videos and also the LR4 beta streaming one but my question is:-

With LR4 due for final release in the near future and as CtPS has only just been finalised will there be any addenda movies to cover using LR4 being made/offered to buyers of CtPS ?

TIA :)

We will be shooting a new LR4 tutorial video next week. It will appear once LR4 ships, but will take Chris a couple of months at least to edit.

This is a separate product from the C2P&S.

Michael, thanks for the qualified insight.  Is it reasonable to surmise there will be a nice discount for buyers of such as C2P&S and the LR3 tutorials.  The new features seem to be a step change especially in the light of C2P&S only just having been finished and surely (?) the LR4 differences logically will affect the advice given in certain sections of it???

Nope...not really. The only things major that is in LR4 that isn't in C2PS is soft proofing in LR and perhaps Books. The rest of the C2PS material regarding Lightroom is still valid. Also note that C2PS is about from "camera to print and screen". It's not a drill down on Lightroom, Camera Raw, Photoshop and Bridge. While we could not say anything about LR 4 while taping/editing C2PS, Mike and I (well, at least I did) knew what was coming.

I will watch on LuLa for the final release date of both your video tutorial and of course LR4 ~ in both regards the discounted cost of the video and the upgrade cost by Adobe from LR3 to LR4 ???
