So I'm a bit baffled here. I've got Ilford Smooth Gloss, Epson Ultra Premium Glossy and BC Vibrance Gloss that I've profiled with a ColorMunki and I'm printing on an Epson 9890. When I print a 16 bit file out of Lightroom the color is brutal. If I reprint with the exact same settings but uncheck the 16 bit option the color is spot on. I usually print on canvas or luster paper and I've printed both 8 bit and 16 and never noticed a color shift before but with glossy stock the colour shift is dramatic. Same results using canned profiles from the manufacturer. Can anyone shed some light on this issue?
