For Sale: Hasselblad Flextight X1 Scanner - Basically Brand New
« on: January 15, 2012, 04:34:16 am »

I purchased this unit new from Hasselblad in Oct last year. I looked on Ebay for a LONG time to find one, and in the end gave up, so I bought a new one. Why am I selling? I just do not use this as much as I thought I would. I have probably made approx. less than 200 scans. I also did my homework and found out that this is the best scanner on the market hands down (other than X5). If you are serious about film this is the scanner for the job. I also purchased two extra film holders.

Good luck on bidding and hope you get a chance to own a basically new Hasselblad Flextight X1. I paid $12995 in Oct last year.

Holders that come with Unit:
4x5
6x7 (two of these)
6x6

Wow, my first post...

For those of you looking for the eBay page, it's here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hasselblad-Imacon-Flextight-Photo-Drum-Scanner-/170766397693

It's tempting, but I already have two film scanners...

You didn't mention about the scan times.

Is this the eBay listed item a current "X1" - the current X1 specs say that the interface is FIREWIRE as does your notation above but the ebay listing says SCSI.
The older flextight scanners were SCSI.  Perhaps is this is an older unit ?  The eBay listing does not mention "X1" model.

Please advise as I'm seriously interested. Thanks.

IMO, the unit on eBay clearly is an older "Imacon" model with SCSI interface (dating from the era before Imacon was taken over by Hasselblad). The successor to this was the "Hasselblad Flextight 646" with a "Hasselblad" logo and a Firewire interface, and the 646 again was succeeded by the "Hasselblad X1", which is the current model.

Therefore, I doubt that the eBay item mentioned by DrTebi is identical to the one the OP is offering here. Personally, I wouldn't bother with the old SCSI models anymore.

I agree 100%.  DrTebi reference is not a correct reference to the item actual item posted by "neillat".
The eBay item has the (design) style and older logo of discontinued flextight models
Also SCSI is no longer a preferred interface.

Hi All- sorry I've been MIA... the scanner sold locally as soon as it went up on EBAY. the scanner referenced was not the correct scanner just FYI.

I appologize for the wrong eBay reference.
Beginner's mistake I guess...

Well, at least you know that there is another X1 scanner out there!
