Spectra View 2, i1Display Pro and PowerPC MAC

Hi,

Xrite EODIS3 i1Display Pro software does not support older PPC Macs such as G5. However, Spectra View 2 (at least some versions) can be used on G5 Macs. The question is: Does the i1Display Pro-sensor work with Spectra View 2-software (and Nec PA-series display) in these older non-Intel Macs?

the latest version of Spectraview does support the i1D Pro and it supports PowerPC but only under OSX 10.5 or better
so if you have 10.3 or 10.4 on your G5, you'll be out of luck

This version of SpectraView requires Mac OS X version 10.5 or higher. Earlier versions of Mac OS are no longer supported.
Installing SpectraView requires an account with administrator privileges.
This version of SpectraView is a Universal Binary and supports both PowerPC and Intel based Macs.

10.5 is the latest/last osx that will run in PPC-machines thus this should work after all.
