Heretical question... LR vs C1...
« on: December 03, 2011, 10:24:59 pm »

I've recently downloaded C1 to try it out and whilst the application itself is extremely different, so to are the results and that has led me to wonder if there is a "recipe" that can be applied to LR to get a C1 look from pictures?

No...you just need to learn how to use the controls of each app. One may be "better" at default than the other but either can output really good output–if you learn how to use the app.

And if you find a setting in LR that you like as a starting point for most images, you can save it as a preset.  That way, you can apply a whole series of changes (e.g., exposure, black point, clarity, etc.) with one click.

You can create multiple presets, so you could have one for landscapes, another for portraits, one for flash, and so on.
