Are all Imacon & Hasselblad digiback adapters the same?
« on: November 28, 2011, 11:59:09 am »

Hi,

I've seen that Hasselblad camera adapters for the CF/CFII line of backs are called "i-adapters". They appear to look like, but are not named the same as, the Imacon camera adapters for the iXpress backs. And then there are also the old Flexframe backs, which also took Imacon camera adapters - but not as many different types of adapters as the iXpress backs.

So to put an end to my confusion: are all these adapters, as I suspect, identical?

For example, I have a Mamiya 645AFD; so if I were to pick up an iXpress adapter for the 645AFD, would that also work equally well with a CFII back or a Flexframe back? Did anything change in fit, tolerance, or functionality?

Hoping to hear from the authorities here...

An Imacon Flexframe ( or colorcrisp) will NOT fit any ixpress back. Only the Ixpress i-adapters and CF adapters are the same.
