Nice one. I'm a big fan of tidal sand patterns.

These sand shore patterns are superb for reflecting light and showing tonal contrast....this image is no exception great job well done. Minor issues... the sky is good out left but seems a little too bright/blown almost on the right?

All told....nice job

Thanks much for the comments.  I am really fond of sand ripples as well.

Shaun - I thought about the right side sky when I did this one - this may just be a stylistic issue but to me the edges of the featureless sky add two more lines that are converging in the distance and the triangle of the sky balances the patch of water on the left.  The patch isn't blown (compare to the extremes in the clouds) but I can understand how you could find it distracting.  Personally I like the tension it adds but again that is an issue of style.  Cheers.
