It's just fine as it is. I think any attempts at "improvement" would likely lessen the impact. Very nice!

Dump the watermark, it's disrupting the peace and quiet of the scene.

The image appears to be already heavily processed, so any improvements would have to start from the original. A couple of remarks:

- water reflections are lighter than the sky... not realistic
- looks like Cloudy or Shade white balance was used... a bit overboard
- there is a general muddy feel
- compositionally, there is a hole right in the middle, leading to.. nowhere. Also all leading lines (tree tops and their reflections) lead to it, i.e., nowhere
- also compositionally, given the (almost) symmetrical structure, the left side appears heavier, thus creating a visual imbalance

In short, nice, but no cigar (imho)

Hope you do not mind a bit of criticism among all the accolades.

Thanks Eric...my thoughts to, however this was a challenge (multi-file merges and three exposure merges) i wasnt sure how this be taken as it does have a ''well processed'' look about it....have to say though i personally quit like the processed look, i know this will not be to everyone's taste. Obviously difficult light conditions, the sunlight was blazing and the woods were blocked up.

Yes i dont like putting names on images really but at least its an attempt at copyright...its not in the high res

Heavily processed...yes no doubt, the water reflections brighter then the sky...dam i should have spotted that error cheers your other points...agreed

compositionally i dont agree...i think there is a 'gap' in the middle with ground behind the gap there is a far background i think the shorelines guides the viewer into the gap to explore the far background....agreed not that easy to see in the low res image.

I think the right hand shoreline is much more significant and visually much stronger than the left thus i dont get the symmetrical feeling... i think the lead in lines work pretty well in this?


processing totally agree (new ground for me see 1st post), comp disagree.

Iam starting with another edit, iam going to try to reduce the heavy processed feel without losing impact...ill post it on this thread when done would be great to hear what people think.
