Hi folks,

Years ago--long before I was an active amteur photographer--I recall reading a review of a book that was  book of photographs of families and children in the process of being evacuated from London in WW-II.  I could be wrong, and it may have been a book about the evacuation and so was mainly text with some photographs.

What I still see in my mind's eye are some of the pictures in the review of families and children in that moment of sadness captured of children unwilling to leave parents behind and parents reluctant to let their children go to unknown homes.

I can't remember either the title of the book or the name of the author.

I'd be grateful to all those who can offer some suggestions.

Ciao,

Doug
