print optimization target with or without color management?
« on: October 17, 2011, 12:54:59 pm »

When you generate in i1Profiler the optimization chart for printer profile, has anyone tried to print it with "color management off" and with their profile they are optimizing?

What makes better optimization?

You don’t want to apply color management to the optimization target when printing. You treat it like any other profile target. The color patches are built based on your specific profile. But it is still a profile target.

After making changes at Lighting and Profile Settings, do we have to generate and print a new set of optimization targets? Or the previous one is valid as long as we maintain the same filename for the modified profile?

I haven’t tested this exact procedure but I suspect that Optimization should be based on whatever original settings were applied when you built the profile.
