Automatically apply develop preset on import
« on: October 09, 2011, 10:36:13 am »

I've created a custom camera profile for a 7D converted to infrared to give me some more headroom in setting the color balance.

When I import I can choose to apply that develop preset - but I have to scroll through a LARGE number of LR standard presets (which apparently I can't delete) to get to the one I want.  Is there a way, without explicitly choosing that preset to have it automatically applied whenever 7D files are imported, or, next best, is there any way to delete the default develop presets so the preset I want is at least displayed without scrolling down?

Thanks.

Instead of making your IR settings a preset make them the default settings that are specific for the converted camera's serial number.

And just in case, relative to the original question...
Even though these instructions http://www.pixiq.com/article/getting-rid-of-default-lightroom-develop-presets can remove those unneeded presets from the context menu in Library module, alas, it doesn't remove them from the import dialog list.
