XRGamma & i1Profiler Tray (XRite Startup)
« on: September 27, 2011, 08:01:25 am »

Hi,

Does anyone happen to know what XRGamma & i1Profiler Tray do? they can be found in Windows 7 startup , hence are authomatically loaded every time Windows is booted. Both apps were installed by the i1display pro software package.

They seem to take care of calibration reminders and may be dongle certification (ie when one uses the the i1display pro as a dongle for i1profiler) but I'm not sure if they are doing anything else in the background.

Do they have anything to do with loading icc profiles and gamma curves? do you think I could deleate them without disrupting the proper loading of icc profiles.

thanks in advance

Reminders and stuff to launch the app’s. Useless, unnecessary, you can disable them.

The XRGamma must remain in the Win Startup folder, it’s the gamma loader program.
