Thanks Francois, this was very much a "snapshot" photo. I'd been on the Isle of Skye for most of the day under heavy grey skies and mostly rain. Then, whilst driving back to the mainland the clouds started to break up and this shaft  light hit the hillside in front of me so I stopped the car, grabbed the camera and fired off a few shots.

Dewi,
Very often, successful images are made in "snapshot mode", especially in heavy weather regions like Scotland.

Beautiful light on the mountain. I think in Scotland you always should drive with a camera and tripod ready to be used ;)

Totally agree - apart from the tripod. The light changes so quickly there some days that by the time you've set up, it'll be gone. Scotland is very much the, "seize the moment" moment school of photography.

Beautiful Image Dewi and great light. I hope to make my way up to Scotland too and especially the isle of Skye in the not to distant future.
