Hi All,
Somewhere on this forum I read a post where someone was either making such a device or adapter to control rollei 6000 lenses such that they could be used on other cameras.  I'm curious now about this but can't find the topic or the person who was doing this.  I'm sort of looking for a mini version of the lens control S - maybe even with lens functionality.  Can anyone point me to who has done this work?

Thanks,
Eric

Don't know anything about the Rollei 6000, but I am very interested in a software impementation of the LCS that could run the Rollei shutter from a laptop.

Trimble has something based on the Rolleimetric product but no one seems to have isolated the simple LCS function set and reprogrammed it for a USB interface and a small adapter box.

I was thinking maybe a small computer on a board controller like the Arudino could implement the same functions.  The arudino can also be a go between the computer and the camera via USB.   It can't really be too hard, if the information were available.

In case anyone wants to google Arudino, the proper spelling is Arduino.

Would be nice if there was something like that published. I have been looking for something like this as I want to do some multishot thing with electronic shutters.
There are only some rather bulky DIY shutter controllers on the web. From some "mad scientists" doing weird microscope stuff.
It could be done as there was a little usb box for Schneider Lens control. Software worked with Eyelike.
You just need some usb - poweroutput for the solenoid of the shutter.
Not much electronics but software developing might be the problem. At least for me.
So if anyone has made progress in this chapter speak to us..........

I dont know much about the Rollei lenses. Question: Are they cocked and released electrically or need they be wound up mechanically like RZ or Hasselblad ?

They are fully electronic.

This sounds like a great group project - there is no point in 10 or more people duplicating the same programming.

The code and the electronics exist in a black box if you would like to ask DHW about them

Yair, how do we do that?  My message to info@dhw-fototechnik.de was rejected.  Servers are like women and reject me regularly.  Perhaps someone else would have more luck.

Are you shure this already exists ? Havent seen it for Rollei.
How compatible is the Schneider Lens Control and the Rollei system ?

DHWs website is still under construction, not expecting much from there.

Found a pic from an opened Rollei shutter. Looks quite like the Mot Iris from Schneider, which I have successfully hacked. Only has addtional shutter.

Anybody got broken pieces lying around ?
Might get intersted in hacking Rollei and Schneider shutter systems.
