Here's one of my favorite links for the area:

One warning: we're having an especially heavy rainy season this winter in most parts of California.  Pacific Coast Highway (Hwy 1), the main coastal conduit for the Monterey area, is subject to landslides.  In fact, I believe sections are currently closed due to storm damage.  I would call ahead to find out about road conditions and closures.

Best,

Paul

I will have a couple of Saturdays in mid-March to do landscape and/or macro photography near Monterrey.  I've reviewed the Photograph America brochure on the area which is 1991 vintage.  Any more current recommendaqtions for shooting opportunities at that time of year in that locale?  Any recommendations are much appreciated.
