Photoshop menu font and icon size too small
« on: September 15, 2011, 12:46:48 pm »

Ive been having problems with the Adobe Photoshop menus and icon being very small and for me, kinda hard to read. However, there is a thread at the Photoshop user site regarding this apparent problem.

I hope Adobe can do something about this annoying feature.

The thread you reference is the Adobe Forum. Assuming that the Photoshop product managers are kept abreast of the conversation on their own company's user forum, which I think is a reasonable assumption, there is probably not much more that can be done about this other than to wait and see whether they decide the problem is serious enough to amend this aspect of the application.

Had the same problem...   On a mac.... and a high res screen which might be your problem.  Only thing you can do about it is reduce the screen resolution one notch in display in system preferences.  Why apple doesn't have a method for setting font sizes is beyond me, but that's the way it is. On high res you can't see things, specially with these old eyes.  ps sets sizes based on the display preferences.

Photoshop isn't the only application with this problem of dysfunctional font sizes on hi-res displays. As display technology improves to higher levels of native resolution application developers should find ways of making it possible to see their GUI print easily, without having to defeat the purpose of the display's native resolution.
