Blue Canyon, Hopi Reservation, Arizona

I want to go there next month, but I've read conflicting reports regarding getting the proper permit. I've read you can get the permit in Cameron, AZ at the Navajo permit office, but since Blue Canyon is on Hopi land, must the permit be issued by the Hopi? If so, where does one do this? I'm hoping you'd share your experience if you've gotten a permit for Blue Canyon. Thanks!

As I understand it, that area is under some disagreement between the Hopi and the Dineh people.  However, this might give you a place to start:
