« on: September 12, 2011, 07:03:10 am »

Hi i currently own a IPF8300 and i was wondering does anyone know any tips or ways to use less ink (economise) i am currently using around 7ml to print an A1 size photo/poster. Could i drop that down to 3-4ml?

You might get a more economic ink use with a RIP that only addresses the CMYK channels of your 8300 but one may wonder whether you need a 12 ink model then. The other route would be a purchase of an iPF810 or iPF825 that is using less ink channels and is intended for that kind of work, including the speedy draft quality setting of your other message. Could be cheaper than a RIP too. Whether ink use will drop to the 7 ML per M2 has to be seen and depends on the image content too.
