Hiring a tripod in Boston
« on: September 04, 2011, 05:42:49 am »

I'll be visiting the US during the week of 19th September on business.  After that, I'm going to be flying to Boston and taking some time out doing some photography up the East coast.

I'm reluctant to drag a tripod from the UK for the business trip.  Can anyone advise about a rental outlet in Boston that would hire Gitzo tripods?  I've done some searching on the internet, but with little success.

Any help would be appreciated.

I googled "boston camera rentals" and found a few places, 2 of them look like they have SLR tripods;

They don't say what make of tripod

Borrowlenses

They have one Gitzo, also Induro and Manfrotto,

Hope that helps

Last fall I went on west coast trip. I mailed my Gitzo tripod through FedEx. My Gitzo fitted their triangular box perfectly. At the end I mailed it back, no problem. Check out the price.

 Mike :  Your Googling's a lot better than mine   :(  All I could find with tripods for video rental.

Sean :  That's an excellent idea that needs investigating.

Many thanks, both of you.  Very helpful....

I recommend E.P. Levine. I traveled to the Boston area in April and purchased a tripod head from them. They are very knowledgeable and they have an extensive rental inventory.
