cs5 improved selection tools

I'm thinking of upgrading to CS5 for access to the edge refining selection tool. Has anyone shooting landscapes had good success with this? I frequently run into situations where there is fine tree and leaf detail in the sky that needs to selected. Is anybody mastering these selections with the new tools? Thanks.
