Action Scripts for Lightroom??

So i was wondering if this was possible either by an action script or hot folder scenerio.
Ideally i would like to minimize steps in downloading and organizing images on a daily bases.
So i would LOVE to have a hot folder that i would download images into, as they hit that folder they start a process of rename, and meta data entry.
Is anyone out there doing this?

Well, you can certainly set up a 'watch' folder for Lightroom, and you can combine that with an import preset that will, depending on exactly what you want, do some or all of that.
