Sinar adapter 551.64.247

I have this Sinar adapter 551.64.247. It´s for Contax 645 but for which digital back?

This isn't an adapter for a recent Sinarback. I did not find any corresponding number with the latest backs, not even with the old(er) SB 43 (11 MPx) or SB 54 (22 MPx). IMO, it must be the adapter for the SB 23 FO (6 MPx - Fiber Optic), but I could be mistaken.

yes indeed a strange Sinar Number.
The Contax Adapters for the old backs are:

Sinarback 22 and 23 : 551.43.247
Sinarback 43: 551.64.246
Sinarback 54M: 552.45.247

The Bronica Adapter normally comes with +1 at the last digit after the contax adapter.
Which would match for the Sinarback 43.
But it looks different.

Or it could be contax for the Sinarback 44, where I dont have the numbers.

You have got me to remember, Josef!

The +1 digit is for the entire adapter KIT, e.g. "247" for the kit incl. the adapter, the needed cables, screws, etc .... The number "246" is then always the corresponding adapter plate alone. In this case I Believe then it is the adapter plate for the SB 43, but still not certain a 100%.

sorry to dissapoint you, but the Sinar numbers are a mess.
I tried to figure out a system with these numbers, as this stuff is swiss made and there is not a lot with out a system over there.... but the sinar numbers are

The kit for the SB 22 contax for instance is 551.43.046 but the plate is 551.43.246
But its not just 200 more for the plate as the
Kit for SB 22 for Rollei is 551.43.043 but the plate is 551.43.237

So no system at all.........

I still believe its for a SB 44
As I have a 43 adapter which is 551.64.246

If someone out here has the numbers list of the adapters for SB 43, 44 and 54H this would be verry helpfull.

You are right, it's a mess the way it is numbered. However, there was a logic, which unfortunately I can't remember after more than 2 years away from the company. Memory is selective, and this is not necessarily the one thing one wants to recall.

You're probably right with the SB 44.
