I wouldn't consider myself an expert, but I thought Frank and Lupe's was very good and the Socorro Springs Brewing Company was good for lunch.  I remember going to an incredibly mediocre steak house for dinner one night. It might have been the Valverde, I'm not sure.  It was midway through town on the main road.  Ick!

I'm not that familiar with Albuquerque, so someone else will need to help out.  Have fun.

In Socorro - Frank and Lupes El Sombrero (just called the Hat) is good for dinner - but slow.  The brew pub is good.  Don Juans is good for lunch (it probably was my favorite local place).  The Val Verde is under new ownership.  I Hadn't been there for a while.  We just moved away from Socorro to sunny madison, Wi

In Abq - Double Rainbow is now called Flying Star.  Has good food
