Using C/CF/CFi and CFE lenses on H-system
« on: August 13, 2011, 02:31:16 pm »

Dear Readers,

This has been covered before, but a recent set of inquiries motivated me to post for others who may have the need to shoot with the V-series Carl Zeiss lenses on a Hasselblad H-system (H1, H2, H3D, H4D) using the CF Lens Adaptor.

As a matter of reference, the focal lengths from this family are:
30mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 80mm, 100mm, 120mm, 135mm, 140-280mm, 150mm, 160mm, 180mm, 250mm, 350mm, and 500mm.

Focus confirmation is provided in the viewfinder in addition to metering (which is then manually set on the lens) and lens corrections in post-production.

Makes for an interesting tool given the affordability and availability of the C-type lenses and it is digital magazine agnostic for those who are shooting with non-Hasselblad digital backs.

Be Well. Stay Creative!
