It was reported as a rumor at the time....I don't see why it wouldn't be feasible? I mean I'm like 50% sure the IQ180 has liveview or something akin to it a la the reviews on this site. I don't really know for sure but its really just a firmware kinda thing. It might be a little gimmicky at least the video but you never know.

Another rumor:

I was told by a crew member that RED has a contract with the U.S. government and is/will produce a medium format motion sensor and camera.

Now I don't know if it's true, or will find out if it is ever true, but I guess in that rarified atmosphere of government spending the gov can afford it.

Maybe that's how they amortize the cost of a RED down to us mortals.

BTW:  We've run both our RED One's for a month straight in all kind of conditions, (which usually means very hot) and we haven't had a glitch.

Currently in KL finsihing up some background plates today and then we finish for the long trip home.  The RED's were very stable for a full month of shooting.

Phase would have to move to a CMOS sensor to enable usable video.  Are they working on something like this?  All I got was a knowing smile and a wink when I asked.  Red has long had plans to develope 645 and 6x17 sensors.  Given how long the Epic has taken, Phase could beat them to the punch.

Here's a shot of Bruce Weber with his new Epic... notice the Canon mount.

The man has taste. I personally would prefer the old Rollei with the prism.

John, you are romantic!

Actually this image talks to me a lot. You see this photography's icon with both past and future in hands, and the man still have bright eyes.

To me it speaks that there is no opposition, no contradiction between both worlds. There are the same. One is the son, the other is the gran father.

It's actually nice to see that.

Ps: it's amazing to mount vintage lenses on contemporary bodies. Some of my lenses are from the 30's...they work perfectly with electronics and motion.

Is the dog just eye candy or does it have some hidden quick release slot on the top of its head to couple the Red to ?

Also, where's the rest of the dog :)

My first thought was holy crap, what happened to Bruce Weber?  Then I remember the last time I saw him in person was 1987.  Wow, the years fly by...
