Which blu-ray authoring software?
« on: August 01, 2011, 06:10:10 pm »

I have an hour-long HD landscape video that I shot and then edited in Final Cut on a Mac.

I want to make one blu-ray DVD to see how the images hold up.

Local houses want $500 just to make one test disc.

Can someone recommend software and a DVD burner that would allow me to do this myself?

My first thought would be to export a full resolution AppleProRes 422 movie from Final Cut with everything complete and then use Roxio's Toast to burn that file to BluRay on any BluRay burner. Toast will re-encode but for 1 hour you should be able to set the quality to the highest setting.
