Ok, so I have an STC with no viewfinder, nor do I have an iPhone. My hope was I could get away without these tools or a ground glass. Looks like the LV is "good enough" to support my plan for framing. I have the disto and the HPF rings. I'll have to experiment to see what my preferred focusing method is. Perhaps it will be set focus with the disto/HPF, then just zoom after the fact for verification. If the results don't look right, then go into LV for focusing. Off to buy more batteries...
