Z3100 won't feed
« on: July 22, 2011, 06:31:56 pm »

I have two Z3100 printers, 24-inch and 44-inch. The 44 is working splendidly. The problem is with the 24-inch. (Both are always powered on.)

There has been no paper loaded for quite some time. The display shows the "ready for paper" message. But when I attempt to load a roll, after going through the appropriate menu selections, the paper won't "catch." The printer doesn't seem to recognize that I'm pushing paper in the feed slot. The identical operation in my 44-inch loads the paper perfectly, thus, it would appear not to be user error.

Suggestions cheerfully accepted.

Try turning it off and on by the switch.  Sometimes they need a reset.
