Problem with Canon 9500 MK II
« on: July 22, 2011, 09:37:50 am »

New to printing......Have a problem with my Canon 9500 MK II printer.... I'm getting lines that look like cuts across the print. Two lines about an inch apart located in the same spot, and a single line about four inches below.... . Doesn't happen on all prints, but about every other one.....

ideas?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Is that in the direction of the paper feed? Looks like wheel roller scrapes to me, but odd that you'd see it. What paper is that?

Neil,

It's actually running parallel with the travel of the print head. It almost seems it would be something with the print head causing the scratch, but it's not there all the time. The paper is epson ultra premium lustre.

I have no idea, hopefully someone else does. I was going to say head strikes, but it doesn't look like one (too even across the width of the page, no ink blobs).
