Kid photo of the week. Getting brown eyes to shine is really difficult in available light.
1Ds3 @ 800ISO, and as usual running out of light in daytime in Paris ... I don't know what has happened to the weather.

On the subject of letter boxing I keep finding a lot of peace in this one.

Indeed it looks like a place where one would like to spend some time relaxing.  ;)

I was walking home and happened to look up while I was crossing the street.

If I recall correctly its Lake Ministikwan in Saskatchewan. It was a day of late summer and the family were taking a a lazy Sunday on the lake shore. Not being used to that environment it all seemed a little surreal, everything was quiet apart from a speed boat with some young folk partying on board. It would come into earshot, stereo to the full, and then plane rapidly away again but the noise never quite faded, there was no other sound, none at all.

No great piece of art, but…

Hi,

No great piece of art…

I was playing with my Flexbody on the V-series "blad".

The first image with Sony SLT 99 and 560 mm at f/16:

The other with Hasselblad Flexbody and 120/4 at f/16 using 15 degree downward tilt:

Here is Mrs Duck taking the kids out for dinner.

I did this tonight, at 7pm, in the shadows which explains the harsh post; I think in spite of the bad quality it's still cute :)

The appeal of the Irish Lough never seems to fade and here is one I caught today with an explanation in the link.

Tulip festival north of Seattle, WA, USA.  I promise it's not fake, only adjusted the resolution.

Nice image Joe.

I like pictures which are quietly pleasant to look at, which leave a comfortable moment with you.

There's something of a charity event every Easter around these parts, on the Sunday there is a vintage Rally and family day whilst on the Saturday us bikers tend to take a run to raise a few pennies, it's all in aid of the local hospice and here are a few shots from the weekend.
