Focus Fixer
« on: July 18, 2011, 08:28:23 am »

I've been using Focus Fixer for many years and love the results but I've waited over a year for a 64 bit version and nothing yet. Does anyone have a strong recommendation for another deconvolution based PS plugin?
Thanks

Topaz InFocus 64-bit works very well for me for initial capture sharpening, but there have also been vociferous complaints on other forums about its functionality, or perceived lack of same. It is not a panacea for severely out of focus or movement-blurred images, and I suspect that's where much of the criticism originated; possibly Topaz' original description was misleadingly optimistic in that respect and people were expecting the impossible.

FocusMagic is also very good but is still 32-bit only and there appears to have been no development of the software for at least three years, despite the optimistic messages about forthcoming versions on their website. They do still respond promptly to requests for keys though, so I guess someone must still be at home.
