Great new HDR processing program
« on: July 07, 2011, 01:29:11 pm »

I've been playing with a new program for HDR -- especially "single shot" HDR. To preface this, I have to say I also own Photomatix and Nik HDR Pro. The new software is called Oloneo PhotoEngine. It's missing a few nice features, (i.e. - noise reduction), but more than makes up for it in easy of use. I've actually liked using it better than the other two programs. You might want to give it a 30-day trial - www.oloneo.com. Actually it does contain some noise reduction, but only with multiple images, rather than single image mode (as far as I can find out). It works with TIFF and JPEG images as well as direct RAW processing (which is the mode I've used). So far, I've used it on RAW files from the Canon 1D Mk III, 1DS Mk II, 1Ds Mk III, and Canon G10.

It's been quite extensively discussed on this site already: see, for example, here.
