Do some research. Ricoh has been a respected camera maker for many, many years.

Yes,

I prefer Pentax in the hands of Ricoh than Hoya to be honest.

Actually, Ricoh is on the very few camera makers that can build a proper camera design and well implemented menu. If you have ever tried a Ricoh camera you will see what I mean.

I agree with Michael, we simply need to wait and see.

Canon is also making a loofa of printers and copiers, BTW.

I whould guess that this should have no impact on the successor of the 645D whose design must be well under way.
