just a sidenote – haven't seen this mentioned in this thread or elsewhere – the new hardware come with a NEW version of the profiler. version is 1.1.0 – not available via software update or xrite web site. release notes are full of improvements...

Thanks for pointing that out Lorenz - it's one reason I've not included any detailed numbers in what I wrote up. It is the shipping version of the hardware, but not the precise version of the software.

may be i missunderstood – BUT – i'm talking about i1profiler software that comes with the hardware – included on dvd is 1.1.0 (whereas 1.0.4 is found on either xrite web site or the installer dvd that came with the first release of the i1profiler back in march).

so new hardware with new software.

software is supposed to have many many improvements over the older version - please find pdf attached.

Looks like i1Profiler 1.1.1 is out (at least, for Mac OS X) - check for updates in i1Profiler.
