Anyone in Arizona?
« on: June 07, 2011, 09:04:31 am »

I'm supposed to be going to Scottsdale in 2-3 weeks, but I'm wondering if the fires further east in Arizona are affecting the skies at all around Scosttdale. I've shot a few hundred miles from large wildfires before and found the air just too hazy to shoot. If anyone knows the story here, I'd appreciate it. thanks.

I believe most of the smoke is blowing to the east. I'm in Taos, New Mexico and can tell you that northern New Mexico and parts of Southern Colorado have been blanketed by it, but we finally got a clear day today. I would check webcams for the Scottsdale area to check on the current air quality. There's no telling what fires may be burning in a couple of weeks and what impact they might have on the air quality in Scottsdale.

The smoke has, for the most part, been drifting east.  I'd worry more about the 110+ temps you'll find in mid June. :P

What do you hope to shoot in the area?
