They are beautiful abstracts but I'm curious: what's the scale? how big are they?

Jeremy, it's easy to work it out: you hold your hands apart like this, then count the number of equal segments that they have to be moved across the wider part of the vision from side to side; simple maths. It even helps with lenses. I discovered that with my right arm outstretched and two fingers held up as in the Victory sign, that the width of a 300mm image is exactly marked by the space at the top of the stretched fingers. Much better than carrying a card cut-out; not much use when you want to use a wider lens, but still helpful when you are trying to figure what a 600mm would cover... useful, too, for a 500mm mirror as there's not much difference measured like that. A fine example of rule of thumb.
