2011 Extreme Environment Photograph of the Year
« on: May 15, 2011, 05:56:12 am »

I learned this morning that one of the two photographs of mine that had been selected as finalists in the 2011 Extreme Environment Photographic competition has won the People's Choice Award (Blue-Berg). I have the details on my BLOG - including an audio excerpt from the announcement of the winners and a snippet from the government press release. I just wanted to say thankyou to those who had passed on comment to me either in the forum here or via email. It was your encouragement that made me decide to enter the awards.Thank you. The audio excerpt is quite interesting (runs just under fifteen minutes) as it includes some chat about both travel and photography in extreme environments.

Congratulations. But if you want real extreme conditions, try a British summer.
