i1Profiler for monitor calibration/profiling question
« on: May 03, 2011, 04:42:22 pm »

I've gone thru all combinations of settings (I think), still can't get i1Profiler to do what I expect on display profiling.

I set white point to native, don't want it changed.  I set various luminance levels, go thru the process, no matter what it does not prompt me to change brightness, just stays at whatever I have set going in.  At the end there is no indication of white point or luminance level, and the QA process doesn't reveal anything more, other than it states I have passed with minimum delta e's.

I did leave the ADC (automatic display control) checked one time, it made hash out of my display settings, had to reset the monitor and start over, I won't do that again.

It appears it can only adjust luminance downwards if the native display point is too high, and it does that by dropping the lut curves.  Is there a button or two I haven't found?
