Advantages of "Premier Satin Canvas" over new "Exhibition Canvas"

Epson has recently come out with a new "Exhibition Canvas" that is 23ml thick as opposed to the "Premier Satin Canvas" which is 19ml. Epson has discontinued the "Premier Satin Canvas". What would be the advantages of a thicker canvas? My local Epson dealer sold me a couple of rolls of the 44" x 40' Premier Satin Canvas for $179.00 each. I couldn't pass up on that.

Canvas stretching devices are used more widely and a stronger canvas has an advantage on them. The Hahnemühle Daquerre Canvas has been changed too for that reason.
