What do all the membership titles actually mean (like sr. member, etc...)?  What is the difference between one green square and four green squares.

I was just curious, thanks.

I believe it's simply a measure of the number of posts one submits.

Right. As in much of the discussion about pixels on this and other forums, it's quantity that matters and quality is irrelevant (now I've just boosted myself further into the elite).

I just got a forum response from a senior member with 4709 posts and only one green square.  I have only 660 posts, and I have four green squares. What do the green squares mean?  What does it mean to be called a Contributor or a senior member or both?

But we notice that Michael has five squares - and with yellow spots, too. Is this accolade self-assessed, and if not, who rates the rater himself - is there a higher power involved?

Hmmmmm.... that got me thinking... remember all those self-appointed five-star Latin American generals? Given Michaels current geo location...

Ah...Interesting.  That clears it up.

So I guess the green squares are a way for forum readers to have some general judgment about the credibility of the writer.  Nice idea.  It helps account for the approach some people take of quantity over quality.
