Can anyone having the Gitzo GT5541LS measure the hight of the tripod with only the first three sections extended?
I mean without the forth and thinnest section extended... I would very much appreciate it. I have looked at the Gitzo website and catalogue but to no avail.
for anyone interested in comparing this measurement to the GT3541LS, Sbay was kind enough to measure his tripod for me and concluded that it's 43.5 to 44 inches.
Also if somenone has both the GT5541LS & GT3541LS could you let me know if the diameter of the tripod's base (where the head attaches) is the same or is bigger than the series 3? I would like to buy the series 5 but I'm warried of it being too big to pack in my "check in" luggage.
