Creative suite 5.5 by subscription

An additional new model for selling Adobe software.

According to the UK tech site The Register, this will go down to Photoshop too at $35/month, although I haven't seen any mention of this on Adobe's site

Not sure if this is a good thing or not.

Got a bad feeling about this.  Expensive and way too much intrusion of the corporate vendor into one's business.

Really not sure. Being able to just licence some parts of CS for short periods of time might be very useful for those applications you can't justifying purchasing outright for occasional use, eg InDesign or After Effects.

Bad news if it's the start of subscription only and must be connected to the net software.
